This was a really interesting read. I don't think I've read anything like it before. It felt very starkly Sam-critical while balancing that with an exaggeratedly self-righteous Dean. Which, don't get me wrong, he is definitely that in canon, but for it to find its way to the extremes in this fic, I think he needed to be sort of reduced to the most potent essence of it? And Cas, of course, back in that early stage of canon, was still full of all of the (believed) righteousness of Heaven, so that makes sense.

At least, that's how it all came across to me. Apologies if I've misinterpreted your intent.

I really loved the ending, where despite Dean and Cas's best efforts, Sam never does actually submit. In fact, by the end, he's convinced he's won whatever battle of wills they were engaged in. That's very Sam of him. Lol.

And I loved the sex, the way Sam so eagerly opened up for Dean that it surprised him, but that Dean honestly didn't need very much convincing to get on board.

Oh, and that moment where Sam taught Cas about intimate touches and consent. Certainly a heavy dose of irony considering what Dean had been doing to him, but I still loved it for its innocence.
